Healing Minnesota from Failed Political Leadership

I have been blessed with an amazing career as a physician assistant, but the past few years of failed political leadership in our state have driven me to consider if I could use my talents to make our state a better place with less government waste, stronger families, and safer neighborhoods. As a husband and father who cares deeply about my family and home state, I realized my answer was a resounding “YES!”

I am not a typical politician, and I would be honored to serve my friends and neighbors in the Minnesota State House of Representatives.

There are many issues I am passionate about, but I consider the following issues in House District 39B to be among the most pressing:

Economy

What have they done with our money?

In 2022 the DFL majority in the House spent the entire $18 billion surplus while increasing taxes and fees on gasoline, vehicle registration, as well as a 1% sales tax increase. This wild spending spree will make life more expensive for Minnesotans already living paycheck-to-paycheck.

I will work to build an economy that allows working Minnesotans to raise a family on a single income.

Education

Do parents have a choice?

I firmly believe that parents are the primary educators of their children. Our educational system should work with parents rather than against them.

School choice empowers parents and enables poor and working-class families trapped in failing districts to obtain the education that best suits their children. Teachers must be freed from unnecessary mandates that hamper their ability to meet the needs of their students, and our schools must teach our children reading, writing, and arithmetic.

Safety

How can we keep our neighborhoods safe?

We want our neighborhoods to be safe and secure for our children, for our families, and for our elderly. I will support our men and women in law enforcement with the funding, technology, equipment, and training that they need to effectively police our communities and keep our residents safe.

I will implore state and local prosecutors to do their jobs and enforce the law! No more free passes for violent crime. Our justice system needs to hold those who choose to break the law accountable for their actions.

Protecting the Most Vulnerable

Strong families mean a strong Minnesota

Minnesota has long been a state filled with hard-working, common sense people who want their legislators to work together to get things done.

In 2022, Minnesota saw the passage of some of the most extreme abortion laws in the world. In Minnesota we now have abortion on-demand up to birth, and viable infants now have no protection under the law immediately after birth.

This alongside attempts to legalize physician-assisted suicide endanger the most vulnerable populations in our state and create a culture that devalues life and human dignity.
