Healing Minnesota from Failed Political Leadership

I have been blessed with an amazing career as a physician assistant, but the past few years of failed political leadership in our state have driven me to consider if I could use my talents to make our state a better place with less government waste, stronger families, and safer neighborhoods. As a husband and father who cares deeply about my family and home, I realized my answer was a resounding “YES!” I am not a typical politician, and I would be honored to serve my friends and neighbors in the Minnesota State House of Representatives.

There are many issues I am passionate about, but I consider the following issues in House District 39B to be among the most pressing:


What have they done with our money?

The past few years of Democratic leadership have been extremely difficult on small business owners and hard-working Minnesota families. Even with all the turmoil of the COVID-19 pandemic and the corresponding government response, our state government is fully funded through 2023 with a $9 billion surplus. Let’s be clear: this isn’t because our government has been so efficient at saving money–it means Minnesota taxpayers have been overcharged by $9,000,000,000.

Gas prices have skyrocketed, food prices are only going up, and staple items like baby formula have been hard to find. As Representative of District 39B, I will fight to return this money to the hard-working Minnesotans who are struggling to stay afloat in the economic storm. This money cannot be used for politicians to create ineffective government programs or to waste your taxpayer dollars with excessive government spending on wasteful projects.


Do parents have a choice?

I firmly believe that parents are the primary educators of their children. Our educational system should work with parents rather than against them. I will fight to make sure all parents have the right and the ability to provide the best education possible for their children. Parents should not be forced to send their kids to schools that teach things contrary to their family’s morals and values. Whether a parent chooses to access one of the great public schools in our district, a local private school, or homeschool, our education system should fund students not broken institutions.

Minnesotans are still recovering from our failed leaders’ decisions to keep our classrooms closed, implementing ineffective policies that have set back our students for years. I will fight to empower parents, keep kids in classrooms, and support our wonderful, hard-working teachers with the resources they need to help students achieve their potential.


How can we keep our neighborhoods safe?

We want our neighborhoods to be safe and secure for our children, for our families, and for our elderly. I will support our men and women in law enforcement with the funding, technology, equipment, and training that they need to effectively police our communities and keep our residents safe.

I will implore state and local prosecutors to do their jobs and enforce the law! No more free passes for violent crime. Our justice system needs to hold those who choose to break the law accountable for their actions.

Pro-Life and Pro-Family

Strong families mean a strong Minnesota

I will always fight to protect the right to life of all Minnesotans from the moment of conception to the moment of natural death. As our Declaration of Independence states, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Without this fundamental right to life no other rights are possible.

In Minnesota there is no greater direct attack on the right to life and the most vulnerable in our society than abortion. The pro-life goal isn’t merely to make abortion unlawful, but to make the idea of abortion unthinkable. I will work to pass laws that incentivize families, encourage family formation and growth, and assist mothers before, during, and after pregnancy.
